Plot:
Our film revolves around ‘Steve’, a 17 year old sixth form
student no different from anyone else.
This opening reflects on Steve’s experiences from the past week, with
him narrating over flashbacks from the past week. However, the past week has not
been any ordinary week as it began with Steve waking up to having an ultimatum
to everything he does. His options relate to his everyday routine, for example
school. Yet the ultimatum will offer an alternative, such as ‘lay-in’ as well
as the option to go to ‘school’. The two options will appear above Steve’s
head, which he will be able to see, the decision he chooses is up to him,
though each choice will affect how the next choice appears and, as the choices
will be random, some choices will be easier to make than others (and vice
versa). The opening will show various
choices Steve has made through the past week, with Steve narrating over this
sequence, describing how the choices affected him, in either a good or bad way.
The opening will end on the present day when Steve is faced with his toughest
ultimatum, a gun shot has been heard, with someone being shot in the street.
Steve is faced with the choice to either stay with the person and wait for
help, or to chase after the shooter. The opening will end on a cliff hanger
with the audience not knowing which decision Steve chose.
